Between Writing and The Body. Performativity in Hilda Hilst’s Fictional Prose
DOI:

Hilda Hilst treats writing as a visceral performance that erases the traditional, stable author. Through works like A Obscena Senhora D (1982) and The Pink Notebook of Lori Lamby (1990), she uses fragmentation and obscenity to fuse narrative voice with the materiality of the body. Her prose suggests that identity is both created and dismantled within the act of enunciation itself. Ultimately, Hilst reframes authorship not as a fixed identity, but as an unstable, ephemeral trace in constant disappearance.
